Advent is a season of waiting, expectation, and stepping into the unknown. In this class, BMPC member and spiritual director Paul Burgmayer invites participants to consider an unexpected question: What if confusion is not a sign that our faith is failing, but an invitation to deeper trust in God? Beginning with Mary's response to the angel—"How can this be?"—we will explore how Scripture and the Christian spiritual tradition understand confusion as a place where God often meets us and calls us toward transformation. Through biblical reflection and conversation, participants will discover how seasons of uncertainty can become opportunities for renewed faith, hope, and openness to God's work.
