The BMPC Hunger Committee provides our congregation with a faithful and effective way to follow Christ’s call to feed those in need. Through partnerships with local organizations and hands-on initiatives, we work to combat food insecurity in the Philadelphia area with compassion and commitment.
What We Do:
The Hunger Committee supports hunger relief through:
- Providing support for both faith-based and secular partner organizations
- Identifying and working with organizations that understand their communities' needs
- Collaborating and learning from partners through liaisons and special events
- Raising awareness about the causes and impact of food insecurity
- Offering volunteer opportunities for the congregation
- Preparing and delivering casseroles to local shelters
- Collecting and distributing nonperishable food year-round
- Managing financial disbursements from the BMPC Hunger Fund
These efforts allow BMPC to extend tangible care and share God’s love through food and fellowship.
