Kareen Rosser, Work to Ride

Sunday, November 15
11:15 a.m. | Congregational Hall

Before this special event, we encourage participants to read Kareem Rosser's award-winning memoir Crossing the Line: A Fearless Team of Brothers and the Sport That Changed Their Lives Forever. In this moving story, Rosser recounts his childhood in West Philadelphia and the unexpected journey that began when he and his brothers discovered Work to Ride, a nonprofit that uses horsemanship, polo, academic support, and mentorship to help young people realize their potential. What began with an after-school job in a stable became a path to college, national polo championships, and a life dedicated to expanding opportunities for others.

During this special Adult Education event, Rosser will reflect on his memoir, his work as Executive Director of Work to Ride, and the enduring power of relationships, discipline, and community to transform lives. Following his presentation, there will be an opportunity for questions and conversation. Copies of Crossing the Line will be available for purchase, making this an ideal opportunity to read the book beforehand, meet the author, and continue the conversation together.
