The Nation Window at BMPC

Watch New Nation Window Video

In 1941, as the world stood on the brink of war, Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church dedicated the Nation Window in our chapel as a bold expression of Christian hope, democratic ideals, and resistance to tyranny. More than eighty years later, this remarkable work of stained glass continues to invite reflection on the promises and complexities of American history.

In this short video, Pastor Rebecca Kirkpatrick explores the window's origins, its rich symbolism, and the questions it raises as we approach the 250th anniversary of the United States. It is an invitation not only to appreciate a beautiful work of art, but to consider how Christians are called to love both faith and country with humility, honesty, and hope.
