Gallery Talk: Flora and Fauna by Alice Dustin

Sunday, September 14
11:15 a.m. | BMPC Gallery

Join us for a special gallery talk with artist Alice Dustin as she shares insights into her exhibit, Flora and Fauna—a collection of intimate, 6-inch-square oil portraits of animals.

Painted alla prima in single sessions, these portraits reflect Dustin’s deep personal connection to her subjects—many of them pets, farm animals, or imagined companions—and a quiet yet firm call to environmental stewardship.

Through expressive brushwork and silent dialogue with each creature, Dustin invites us to consider the beauty of creation and the urgent need to care for it. A portion of the exhibit’s proceeds will be donated to climate action efforts.

All are welcome.
