Peacemaking is at the heart of the mission and ministry of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. Rooted in the biblical call to love our neighbors and seek justice for all, BMPC’s peacemaking efforts are expressed through a range of local and global partnerships, educational programming, and hands-on advocacy opportunities.

We believe peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice, compassion, and dignity for every person.

What We Do:

BMPC supports and participates in initiatives that:

  • Address root causes of violence and inequality, including poverty, racism, environmental injustice, and systemic oppression
  • Provide direct support and relief to individuals and communities in crisis
  • Promote nonviolence and human rights
  • Advocate for gun violence awareness and prevention
  • Engage in interfaith dialogue and collaborative community partnerships

Our peacemaking work reflects our commitment to both local action and global solidarity—striving for a more just and compassionate world.

Recent & Ongoing Partnerships Include:

  • CeaseFire PA
  • Interfaith Philadelphia
  • Mothers in Charge
