One significant way BMPC supports mission and community transformation is through a variety of grant programs. These funds are made possible through the generosity of generations past and the faithful giving of current members through Stewardship.
We are honored to extend our mission reach by partnering with organizations and congregations through the following grant opportunities:
Outreach Grant
Distributed by the BMPC Outreach Committee, these grants are available to organizations serving the Greater Philadelphia area in the following focus areas:
- Economic Insecurity: Addressing root causes of poverty and supporting poverty alleviation
- Children and Youth: Enrichment, support, or care for children, youth, and their families
- Congregational Support: Strengthening regional and neighboring congregations in their ministry and mission
The Eugene C. Bay Fund for Urban Ministry
Established in celebration of Dr. Eugene Bay’s pastoral legacy, this fund supports programs or projects that directly enhance the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual well-being of children and youth in Greater Philadelphia.
Worldwide Ministries Annual Grant
Distributed by the Worldwide Ministries Committee, these grants are for organizations outside the Philadelphia area and focus on:
- Education
- Medical Mission
- Community Development / Social Justice

The Richard Shaull Mission Grant
In honor of missionary and scholar Dick Shaull, this grant supports:
- New global mission projects at their inception
- Remarkable mission leaders around the world (outside Philadelphia)
Peacemaking Grants
The Peacemaking Committee offers small grants ($500–$1,000) to local, national, or international organizations that:
- Promote peacemaking
- Support bridge-building and reconciliation efforts
