Since the earliest days of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, we’ve been committed to global mission and international partnership. Over a century later, that commitment remains strong, guided by the values of compassion, justice, and transformation.
BMPC’s Worldwide Ministries works to build long-term, meaningful relationships with mission partners across the globe. We support efforts that promote:
- Education
- Healthcare
- Economic opportunity
- Social and environmental justice
Rather than offering one-time aid, our approach is rooted in partnership and solidarity. We walk alongside individuals and organizations doing transformative work in their own contexts. Our support includes:
- Financial resources
- Regular prayer and communication
- When possible, travel and cross-cultural exchange
These connections foster deep, mutual learning and broaden our understanding of global issues through a lens of faith.
Featured Partnership: Joining Hands Peru
BMPC is proud to partner with Joining Hands Peru (JHP), a ministry of the Presbyterian Hunger Program. JHP:
- Networks with local environmental organizations and activists
- Supports Indigenous communities
- Promotes sustainable development, cultural preservation, and grassroots advocacy
- Works to protect both people and the planet
Whether supporting schools in Africa, healthcare initiatives in Latin America, or refugee relief in the Middle East, BMPC’s global mission efforts are rooted in hope and faithful action.
The Worldwide Ministries Committee also distributes funds annually through two grant programs:
- Annual Worldwide Ministries Grant Program
- Richard Shaull Grant for Mission
