Childcare and Art – Starting at 7:45 a.m.
- Childcare is available starting at 7:45 a.m., covering the 8:00 a.m. worship and continuing through Adult Education following the 10:00 service.
- Art at 9 is offered for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade during the 9:00 hour if adults are participating in education programs.
Sunday School – 10:00 a.m. Worship Hour
- PreK and younger: Go directly to classrooms at 10:00 a.m.
- Kindergarten through 5th grade: Begin in the Sanctuary and leave following the Children’s Message for Sunday School.
Each class follows a developmentally appropriate curriculum enriched by:
- Worship
- Biblical storytelling
- Service opportunities
- Games and visual arts
Family Fellowship – 11:00 a.m.
Following worship, families are invited to a time of refreshment and community in Education Hall on the main floor of the Education Building.
Snacks (Goldfish, Oreos, popcorn) and coffee are provided, including gluten-free and allergy-friendly options with labeled ingredients.
Location
Children’s programming at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church takes place in the Education Building, located at the corner of Montgomery and Fisher Street.
Worship Together Sundays
On certain Sundays, older elementary students stay in worship with their families. These dates are clearly marked in the calendar, bulletin, and eNews.
Summer Sunday School – begins in early June:
- Children 4 and under remain in the nursery with a special summer curriculum.
- PreK through rising 3rd graders meet in a multiage class in Room 202.
After 5th Grade
Students in 6th grade and older transition into our Youth Ministry program.
Children in Worship
Children are always welcome in worship!
- Children’s bulletins and crayons are available at Sanctuary entrances.
- A resource shelf with kid-friendly worship materials is located in the Narthex.
All classes are led by trained, dedicated volunteers. Interested in helping out?
